Block Party

POTLUCK CONTRIBUTIONS

A TRADITION THAT EPITOMIZES THE CONCEPTS OF "GOOD NEIGHBORS", "CELEBRATIONS", AND "VOLUNTEERISM"

SO, NEIGHBOR, WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR THE BLOCK PARTY?

Tell us that you will be preparing something for the block party. You’ll feel good, have better self esteem, and good fortune will befall you when you make the commitment to contribute to LA’s Best neighborhood celebration. Yes its months away, but make the commitment now. Don’t worry; a committee volunteer will remind you.

Please get in touch with Judy if you wish to make a potluck dish contribution
EJCRANE@earthlink.net or at 310-827-7288.

Co Chairs Cheryl and Bob Herrara spend 7 months with their committee planning the huge block party attended by an estimated 750 people last year. Wonderful prizes like weekend stays at fancy resorts, dinners at great restaurants, round trip tickets by Southwest Air to anywhere they fly and much more. Last year the LAPD saluted the party with a flyover with their helicopter including loudspeaker and sirens. Councilman Bill Rosendahl presented a certificate from the Los Angeles City Council declaring us to be "An Award Winning Community."
