Less than a month after the City repaved La Villa Marina and Admiral Avenue, it became obvious that the quality of the pavement was very poor. Residents pointed this out to representatives from Councilman Rosendahl's office, and soon thereafter the heavy machinery appeared again.
La Villa Marina at the end of the street was repaved, and the holes on Admiral Avenue were circled. As of March 25th, the Admiral Avenue holes, and the circles, remain.
Fiji and the alleyway were not re-paved at the same time as LVM and Admiral. The report from Councilman Rosendahl's office was that it did not make sense to repave Fiji until after the barrier situation was resolved. The community has communicated its desire to have a permanent barrier, a repaved Fiji, and a repaved alley.
